Cortagen
A bioregulator for the cerebral cortex that repairs central and peripheral nerve pathways and stimulates axon regeneration after trauma.
Cortagen is a short synthetic regulatory bioactive peptide made of four amino acids (Ala-Glu-Asp-Pro), developed at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology within Professor Vladimir Khavinson's research as a synthetic analogue and mimetic of cerebral-cortex extracts (Cortexin). It was designed to act as a direct, specific gene regulator for cerebral-cortex tissue and the central and peripheral nervous systems. Its very small molecular weight lets it cross the blood–brain barrier and enter the nuclei of neurons and glial cells. Cortagen binds DNA to stimulate gene expression of neurotrophic factors such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and nerve growth factor (NGF), while suppressing the expression of pro-inflammatory and pro-apoptotic genes such as interleukin-6 and the caspase-3 pathway. This strengthens synaptic plasticity, stimulates regeneration of damaged nerve fibres and reduces oxidative stress in the brain.
The genetic key for rebuilding the cerebral cortex and renewing nerve pathways from deep within the cell
If you are looking to restore mental clarity and recover from brain injuries and neurological disorders by redirecting the genetic code of the brain cells themselves, Cortagen represents the peak of development in the class of bioregulators targeting the nervous system.
Classification: Cellular bioregulator peptides, nerve protection and regeneration, rehabilitation of the cerebral cortex (Bioregulators / Neuroprotective & Brain Cortex Regeneration).
Structurally, it is a very small tetrapeptide made of alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid and proline. This short, stable structure gives it an outstanding ability to cross cellular barriers and enter nerve-cell nuclei directly without being broken down by enzymes.
Picture the cerebral cortex after a stroke, a head injury or years of chronic nervous stress as a circuit board whose tracks have corroded and whose data signals have weakened. It needs a basic program command that restarts track maintenance and reweaves the severed nerve branches.
How it works
Cortagen enters the nuclei of nerve cells in the cerebral cortex directly and binds DNA strands, stimulating the genes responsible for making structural proteins and vital nerve growth factors. At the same time, it inhibits inflammatory genes and the cytotoxic pathways caused by the build-up of free radicals and glutamate. This genetic mechanism speeds the growth of nerve-cell axons, improves synaptic connections between the centres of thought and memory, and reduces glial scarring around injured areas — speeding the recovery of damaged cognitive, motor and language skills.
In research, Cortagen is studied in models of ischaemic stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), age-related neurodegeneration and peripheral neuropathy, thanks to its selective, deep effect in restoring the vitality of brain tissue.
Repairing the nervous system is not only about protecting it from the outside — it begins by awakening the biological codes inside the nucleus so they rebuild the networks of awareness and thought themselves.
Reviving brain cells and repairing nerve pathways from their genetic roots. Cortagen is the pioneering achievement in targeted bioregulation research for rescuing the cerebral cortex and protecting the nervous system from damage. It belongs to the class of regulatory bioactive peptides for neuroprotection and the renewal of memory and cognition. Its four ultra-small amino acids pass easily deep into the nuclei of nerve and glial cells, sending direct genetic orders to resynthesise nerve-growth proteins and repair damaged fibres. Its mechanism halts deep brain inflammation and curbs programmed cell death, helping to reweave synaptic connections, improve the blood supply to brain cells and restore thinking and focus after strokes, head injuries and chronic stress. Leading neuroscientists study it as an exceptional solution for rehabilitating mental and motor function and countering brain ageing with outstanding molecular safety — because real mental clarity begins with a biological code that brings life back to the cells of the cerebral cortex with great precision.
