Glutathione
The master antioxidant tripeptide, studied for reducing oxidative stress and evening skin tone.
Glutathione (GSH), chemically gamma-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinylglycine, is an endogenous tripeptide made of three amino acids — glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine — joined by an unusual peptide bond between the gamma-carboxyl group of glutamic acid and the amine group of cysteine. It is the main and most concentrated intracellular antioxidant in every tissue of the body, especially in liver cells. Its biological power comes from the active sulfhydryl (thiol, -SH) group on the cysteine residue, which acts as an instant electron donor to neutralise reactive oxygen species (ROS) and recycles other antioxidants (such as vitamins C and E) back to their active form. Glutathione is a core substrate for phase-II liver detoxification enzymes through glutathione S-transferase (GST), binding toxins, free radicals and heavy metals so they can be excreted in water-soluble form. It also helps regulate cellular immunity and inhibits tyrosinase, which lightens and evens skin pigmentation.
The master antioxidant and engine of liver detoxification that protects and renews cells
If you are looking for the first line of defence to clear accumulated toxins, quench the oxidative stress behind premature ageing and restore the skin's clarity and glow from within, Glutathione is the crowned king of biological antioxidants inside every cell of your body.
Classification: Antioxidant tripeptides, liver detoxification, skin brightening and cellular anti-ageing (Master Antioxidant / Hepatic Detoxification / Cellular Defense).
Structurally, it is a pure tripeptide with a robust gamma-peptide bond that protects it from breakdown by ordinary cellular peptidases, and it carries an active organic-sulfur arm (thiol group) that acts like a chemical magnet for free radicals and toxins circulating in the cytoplasm and mitochondria.
Picture your cells as engines that burn fuel and release harmful chemical exhaust and oxidised waste around the clock. The engine needs an extremely powerful molecular cleaner that sweeps away this exhaust immediately and protects its fine parts from rust and wear.
How it works
Glutathione is distributed throughout the cells of the body and is heavily concentrated in liver cells. Its free sulfur group donates electrons to neutralise the free radicals that damage DNA and cell membranes, turning oxidised toxins into harmless compounds. At the same time, it drives conjugation reactions in the liver, binding toxic chemicals, heavy metals and drug metabolites and converting them into water-soluble forms that are safely eliminated through bile and urine. In skin pigment cells (melanocytes), glutathione modulates melanin production by inhibiting tyrosinase and shifting synthesis from dark eumelanin to light pheomelanin — evening skin tone, reducing pigmentation and giving exceptional radiance.
In clinical and research settings, glutathione is used and studied to support liver health in fatty liver and hepatitis, to reduce toxicity from medicines and chemotherapy, and to support people with Parkinson's disease and neurodegenerative disorders by lowering neural oxidative stress — alongside its leading place in radiance and skin anti-ageing protocols.
Physical purity and anti-ageing do not start with surface products — they start by cleansing the cellular environment and supporting the liver with the most powerful antioxidant the body itself designed.
The strongest biological shield for cleansing cells, removing toxins and renewing skin radiance. Glutathione is the main and most effective antioxidant in cellular biology for protecting the body from oxidative damage. It belongs to the class of antioxidant, liver-protective, brightening and anti-ageing peptides. Its structure — three amino acids linked by an active sulfur bond — works like a super-magnet that captures free radicals and accumulated toxins deep in the tissues, protecting mitochondria and DNA from breakdown. Its dual mechanism leads the liver's clearance of harmful residues and heavy metals while guiding skin pigment to suppress dark spots and even out skin tone with a naturally bright clarity. Doctors and researchers rely on it as a cornerstone for liver health, stronger immunity and resistance to chronic stress and ageing, with an excellent safety profile — because beauty and vibrant health come from purifying your cells and recharging their clean energy from within.
